In addition, Ann serves on the Board of CAR, (Clatsop Association of Realtors) and is the RPAC & OPAC committee Chair for CAR and the alternate State Director. Ann is also the Western Regional Representative for ADAO (asbestos disease awareness organization) where she works to prevent asbestos diseases through education, assisting with the international conference in Washington DC yearly, and lobbies Congress to ban asbestos in the United States.

Mark married his grade-school sweetheart 34 years ago and raised two beautiful daughters in Denver, Colorado. In 2003, they moved to Portland, Oregon. After a successful, albeit stressful career in IT consulting management, Mark decided it was time to do something he was passionate about. Combining his love for architecture and his desire to help people, he found the perfect marriage in real estate – but not just any real estate. As a pre-construction listing agent for some of Portland’s finest condominium developments such as the Eliot and Waterfront Pearl, he gained a great deal of experience and knowledge unique to Portland condominium construction methods, homeowner associations and collective community personalities.
As a buyer or seller, he believes it is risky to work with an agent who does not have an understanding of the complexities associated with this type of home ownership. Mark is an owner of an urban west-side condominium and has owned several condos in some of the premier developments of Gerding Edlen, John Carroll and Jack Onder. He has represented condo buyers and sellers in Portland’s Pearl District, Downtown, Nob Hill and Goose Hollow neighborhoods and understands the challenges and opportunities associated with new vs old, concrete vs wood-frame, large vs boutique.
The other half of his passion lies with inner-city, historic properties. Mark grew up in a family of contractors and has personally renovated several turn-of-the century homes. He appreciates the differences between a lipstick fix-n-flip and a historic restoration.

Michelle was a natural fit for getting into real estate, as her father was a custom homebuilder and mother an interior decorator. Playing four years of soccer and a year of basketball at Oregon State University and earning her Masters Degree in Education, Michelle spent several years teaching middle school and coaching at the high school. After having children, Michelle decided it was time to utilize her teaching/coaching background differently and incorporate it into the real estate field.
With Michelle’s love for sports and teaching, it’s no wonder she views her clients as “teammates,” educating and coaching them through all aspects of the buying and/or selling process. Communication and honesty are at the forefront of each client relationship. Michelle works hard to create a “win-win” situation for everyone and believes in this whole heartedly, both professionally and in her personal life as well.

January’s Third Thursday with Sandy Dutko

We are excited to have artist Sandy Dutko for Lake Oswego’s Third Thursday. Sandy is a local Portland artist who enjoys painting in several mediums. Although most of her recent work is in watermedia and collage, she also likes to experiment with oils and pastels and her paintings have become more abstract in the past years. Sandy’s work varies from semi-abstract, to pure abstract, depending on her mood and subject matter. Her approach to painting is experimental and her process often begins with textured abstract starts. Each step leads to the next, allowing her imagination to take the painting in a new direction. This unpredictable approach to painting is exciting and full of surprises.

I enjoy taking risks. I believe that it leads to more interesting art and growth as an artist.

Sandy is a member of: Lake Area Artists, Watercolor Society of Oregon, Oregon Society of Artists, Painters Showcase of Portland, and Buffalo Grass Art Society. She is also one of the twenty local artists at the Art on Broadway Gallery in Beaverton. Her work is exhibited yearly at “Art Affair” Lake Area Artists Annual Show, Painters Showcase, and at the Buffalo Grass Society Annual Art Show. Sandy has also shown her work at the Oregon Society of Artists Gallery, Lake Oswego Festival of Arts,  Southminster Presbyterian Celebration of Creativity Show, Rain Dance Ranch Gallery, and at the Portland Home and Garden Show. Her paintings have been juried into the River Sea Gallery, Manley Art Center, and the Elsinore Fine Art Gallery through the Watercolor Society of Oregon. Her painting “New Territory” can be seen in the North Light published book “Incite 2 Color Passions” the Best of Mixed Media.
